Brett Dahlberg Joins WCMU Public Radio
WCMU Public Radio (Mt. Pleasant) has announced that Brett Dahlberg has joined the station as a general assignment reporter. He was previously the health reporter at WXXI Public Broadcasting in Rochester, N.Y., and has filed stories for National Public Radio, IEEE Spectrum, The Village Voice and other outlets.
Brett earned a master’s degree in journalism from the Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at the City University of New York. He grew up on Washington state’s Kitsap Peninsula and is proud that his cell phone number still carries the 360 area code.
“We’re really excited to have Brett join the team at WCMU,” shares WCMU’s Director of Radio, Rick Westover. “While his primary role will be general assignment reporting, we will all benefit from his experience navigating the sometimes-confusing world of health and science. To have Brett come aboard amidst a global pandemic is particularly fortunate. He also has an interesting way of approaching the stories he tells in an engaging, outside the box manner. Please join us in making him feel welcome!”
