Are You Encountering Problems with Your PPP Loan Application?
In a significant win for broadcasters last year, NAB was able to secure expanded Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) eligibility for stations as part of the COVID relief package that was signed into law at the end of 2020. This allows broadcasters to have the same physical-location based eligibility as restaurants and hotels under the original CARES Act, regardless of whether the broadcast company is publicly traded.
We are committed to ensuring that all eligible members can take advantage of this enhanced PPP provision; yet it has come to our attention that some stations have encountered problems with the Small Business Administration’s (SBA) loan application process. Specifically, if you have been denied a loan or unable to secure one due to issues relating to your Employee Identification Number (EIN) with your parent company, please let us know immediately by filling out this form. Form submissions are due no later than close of business Monday, April 26. We will provide this information to the SBA, who will review your case and work to rectify this problem with your loan application.
Thank you for your continued service to your communities. It is our honor to represent you in the nation’s capital, and we are always here for our members. Please contact NAB’s Government Relations team at (202) 429-4199 or email advocacy@nab.org with any questions.
