Graham Media Group's WDIV-TV (Detroit) has received the coveted 2022 National Edward R. Murrow Award for Best Newscast (Local 4 News at 11 p.m.) for coverage of the Oxford High School shooting.

Earlier this year, the station won the 2022 Regional Edward R. Murrow Award for Best Newscast. That made WDIV eligible for the national awards.

National winners were announced August 11 by the Radio Television Digital News Association.

Since 1971, RTDNA has been honoring outstanding achievements in broadcast and digital journalism with the Edward R. Murrow Awards. Among the most prestigious in news, the Murrow Awards recognize local and national news stories that uphold the RTDNA Code of Ethics, demonstrate technical expertise and exemplify the importance and impact of journalism as a service to the community.
