Bill “Broadway” Bertschinger

Midwestern Broadcasting has named Bill "Broadway" Bertschinger Program Director of its Top 40 WJZQ-FM (Cadillac/Traverse City).  Bertschinger, who will host the midday shift on the station, succeeds Ron Pritchard, who remains at the station focused on his morning show.

He most recently was Program Director at Macdonald Garber's WKHQ-FM and WSRT-FM (Traverse City).  His resume also includes stops at WDRQ-FM (Detroit), WDSY-FM (Pittsburgh), WWYZ-FM (Hartford) and WKIS-FM (Miami). He also has on-air stints at WSNX-FM and WBCT-FM (Grand Rapids) as well as KSLZ-FM (St. Louis).

Bertschinger told AllAccess, "Thank you for all of the well wishes. I tried to get out of radio but nothing fulfills me like being behind a mic. I am looking forward to my best opportunity yet. Thanks to Chris Davis and Chris Warren for the opportunity."
