Around The State: Reeves Joins WWTV/WWUP-TV; David Newman Passes; Brian Cowan to Step Down at WWWW

Teagan Reeves has joined 9&10 Media Group's WWTV/WWUP-TV (Cadillac) as Weekend Meteorologist. Reeves comes to Northern Michigan from Stowe, VT. She is a 2023 graduate of Northern Vermont University where she holds a Bacherlor's Degree in Atmospheric Sciences and Meteorology.
The MAB has sadly learned of the passing of former Detroit radio talk show host David Newman. Newman spent 25 years between WJR-AM, WXYZ-AM and WXYT-AM. He was 82 and survived by his wife of 50 years, Vikki. No further details are available as of press time.
RadioInsight reports that Brian Cowan, Program Director and Morning Host at WWWW-FM (Ann Arbor) since September 2002 will be leaving his fulltime radio job for the airline industry. His final day will be June 30. He will continue to serve as an ambassador for the station and make appearances on-air. Prior to his long tenure as the station, Cowan spent time at KIKF-FM (Anaheim CA) and in mornings at WNWN-FM (Battle Creek).
