WHLS personality Brad Biewer in 2022

Liggett Communication's WHLS (Port Huron)(Rock 105.5) has announced that it will partner for the second straight year with the Blue Water Area Humane Society and several local businesses for Rockin' the Rescue, a day-long fundraising and awareness event to take place at the International Flag Plaza Plaza in Port Huron. Rock 105.5 personality Brad Biewer will broadcast live from inside a modified dog kennel on Thursday,  August 17,  from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. to collect donations for the local shelter.

Last year, Rock 105.5 raised over $4500 as well as a truck bed full of donations during the inaugural event. Everybody who stops by the International Flag Plaza during the broadcast will have the chance to enter to win a custom dog house built by First Response Roofing and Construction. St. Clair Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, and Ram will also have a vehicle on site to collect pet supplies. Additionally, the dealership will donate $50 to the fundraising effort for every car sold now through August 17th. The humane society is in most need of cat and dog food, kitty litter, rabbit bedding, and dog toys. Limited edition t-shirts will also be available for purchase at the event, with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the humane society.
