October 27, 2023
The annual Marconi Radio Awards were handed out Wednesday evening (10/25) during the annual NAB Marconi Radio Awards Dinner, presented by Xperi, held in conjunction with NAB Show New York at NYC’s Javits Center. Established in 1989 and named after inventor and Nobel Prize winner Guglielmo Marconi, the NAB Marconi Radio Awards are given to radio stations and outstanding on-air personalities to recognize excellence in radio.
Audacy/Detroit SVP/Market Manager Debbie Kenyon was honored with a Marconi for Legendary Radio Manager. Kenyon has spent over 25 years at the helm of the company's Motor City properties. She was the recipient of MAB's Lifetime Achievement Award in 2020. She is a former Chairperson of the MAB.
"Debbie is a true leader and visionary in the broadcast media industry," said MAB President and CEO Sam Klemet. "She continues to raise bar for excellence and innovation and all broadcasters in the state and country are better because of her work."
