RadioInsight has reported (7/24) that Midwest Family Broadcasting has flipped its WQLQ-FM (Benton Harbor/South Bend) from CHR to Alternative.  The publication notes that station, positioned as “The Alternative”, is "spotlighting artists including The Killers, Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Weezer, and Pearl Jam."

The format debuted at noon this past Wednesday.

WQLQ had debuted its CHR brand in October 2016.  Prior to the CHR format, the station had a country format for several years.

The station also dropped its country format on its HD3 channel, replacing it with a simulcast of WSBT-AM (South Bend).
