Audacy has announced the addition of Tim Pamplin as a news reporter and the promotion of Darrylin Horne to a full-time reporter on WWJ-AM (Detroit/Newsradio 950).  Pamplin joins the station after 30 years at crosstown WDIV-TV, where he was better known as Nightcam, a fan favorite since 1999.  He is a photojournalist and reporter with several broadcasting awards, including two Edward R. Murrow Awards and three Emmy Awards.

“My childhood dream was always to be a TV cameraman or radio reporter,” said Pamplin. “After 30-plus years on the streets for WDIV-TV as an evening cameraman, my move to WWJ Newsradio 950 is nothing but a dream come true.”

Horne moves into her fulltime role after working as a part-time producer and reporter at the station since 2021. Previously, she was a weekday reporter and weekend fill-in producer at WLNS-TV, floor director for WJBK-TV, sports event coordinator at BallerTV, commentator for TMZ and sales coordinator at NCC Media.

Horne commented, “I’m so grateful to continue my journey here at WWJ Newsradio 950. This newsroom has allowed me to take on a variety of stories that have diversified my professional experience, and I can’t wait to continue that growth in this next chapter.”

"We couldn't be more excited for Tim to join our news team. We plan to leverage his renowned breaking news reports to provide our listeners with quality coverage of each day's top stories," said Audacy Detroit Market Manager Debbie Kenyon. "We're also looking forward to supporting Darrylin in this new role as she applies her skillful storytelling in everything from feature stories to contributions on our digital platforms."
