Marconi Radio Awards Finalists Announced; Six Michigan Broadcasters/Stations on List

The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) has announced the finalists for the 2024 NAB Marconi Radio Awards. The winners will be recognized and honored at radio’s biggest night, the Marconi Awards Dinner, where the industry’s major players come together to celebrate excellence and recognize stations and individuals. The dinner will be held October 9 during NAB Show New York.  The announcement was made online last Thursday (8/1).

Some prominent Michigan broadcasters/stations are included in this year's finalist list.  Julie Koehn, General Manager of WLEN-FM/WQTE-FM/WABJ-AM (Adrian) is one of five nationwide up for Legendary Radio Manager of the Year.  Josh Holleman, Rachael Hunter and Steve Grunwald of WYCD-FM (Detroit) are finalists in the Large Market Personality of the Year.  WOMC-FM (Detroit) is a finalist in Classic Hits Station of the Year and sister station WXYT-FM (Detroit) is one of five finalist stations for Sports Station of the Year.

Established in 1989 and named after inventor and Nobel Prize winner Guglielmo Marconi, the NAB Marconi Radio Awards are given to radio stations and outstanding on-air personalities to recognize excellence in radio.
