Jesse Bruce Celebrates 25 Years at WGHN
October 11, 2024
Jesse Bruce, 92.1 WGHN-FM (Grand Haven) Program Director & Afternoon Host, celebrated his 25th Anniversary at the station on September 27. Starting as an intern in 1999, Bruce has worked in numerous capacities for WGHN, including sports and commercial production and news and hosting responsibilities. He curated a special edition of his 'Lunchtime At The Laguna,' 80's noon show to mark this significant milestone. This unique episode was a heartfelt tribute to his family, who have been unwavering in supporting his broadcasting career.
His afternoon show, "JESSE BRUCE LIVE," featured General Manager Mike Toth & Morning Show Host Mary Ellen Murphy presenting him with a special tribute signed by Governor Whitmer, Lt. Governor Gilchrist, Senator Roger Victory, and Rep. Greg VanWoerkom, saluting 25 years of broadcast service to Grand Haven. Bruce was then joined over the next three hours by family, friends, business, and community leaders as they reflected on his career and looked forward to the future. He also announced JESSE BRUCE: 25 LIVE, a special broadcast event on Wednesday evening, November 20, from Kirby House in downtown Grand Haven.
Says Bruce, "25 LIVE will be like a reverse open house. It's open to anyone to come out, so I can thank them personally for supporting WGHN and myself this past quarter century. Many friends from throughout my career will be there, and we will celebrate what we have accomplished and continue to accomplish at WGHN."
