Classical IPR Welcomes First-Ever Digital Content Manager
Interlochen Public Radio’s “Classical IPR” recently welcomed its first-ever digital content manager to the station staff. Kacie Brown comes to northern Michigan after having completed undergraduate and graduate degrees in music performance at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music.
Brown also holds a journalism certificate from Indiana University’s The Media School.
“The musical community Classical IPR gathers can include lots more people and musicians in a digital world,” said IPR’s executive director Peter Payette. “Hiring Kacie is a big step in expanding the crowd of people who connect to northern Michigan and Interlochen from everywhere.”
As Classical IPR’s digital content manager, Brown will oversee the station’s online presence.
This includes everything from the station’s website to its social media accounts to its email newsletters and more.
“As Classical IPR looks toward the future, a strong digital presence is essential,” said IPR’s music director Amanda Sewell. “Kacie is savvy and thoughtful, and she’s just the right person to take the helm of that work.”
One of her first major initiatives has been to manage the launch of IPR’s new podcast Classical Sprouts and its Instagram page.
