Robin Kinnie

The Michigan Chronicle has announced its list of 2023 Women of Excellence Nominees.  Among the nominees this year is Robin Kinnie, President and CEO of Motor City Women Studios/Audio Engineers of Detroit.  The Michigan Chronicle Women of Excellence Awards celebrates local Black women who inspire others through their vision and leadership, exceptional achievements, and participation in community service.

Kinnie founded Motor City Woman Studios with a goal to amplify the voices of women in front of the microphone and increase the number of women the audio engineering profession. She has previously been recognized as one of the Top 25 Women Leading In the Detroit Community.

In its 16th year, the Chronicle’s Women of Excellence will induct a new class of honorees into the exclusive society of 750 plus professional women who have previously received the distinction during a ceremony on Wednesday, April 5, 2023.
