WJRT-TV’s Jim Wyatt Passes

WJRT-TV (Flint) has reported the passing on assignment editor Jim Wyatt who died on March 15.
Wyatt was born in Flint in 1957 and attended Elizabeth Ann Johnson High School and graduated with the Class of 1975. During his time in high school, he won several verbal forensic awards for his ability to DJ. Soon after graduation, Jim went to work using his ability to entertain and became a DJ for the radio station WTRX-AM. From there, he went to work at WEYI-TV, where he worked for seven years before moving on to WNEM-TV, working there for over 20 years until retiring. Realizing retirement was not for him, he joined WJRT.
WJRT writes that "He had knowledge of Mid-Michigan roads and locations that was second-to-none, and his sense of humor helped his co-workers through what can be a stressful business."
Wyatt was 65.
