Marc Ryan

Marc Ryan has been named network pregame, postgame and weekday fill-in host of Audacy's WXYT-FM (97.1 The Ticket) in Detroit, beginning April 1. He joins the station after his run at co-owned WORD-AM (The Fan Upstate) in Greenville, SC where he hosted "Offsides with Marc Ryan," the station's afternoon show. Previously, Ryan was heard on KILT-AM (Sports Radio 610) in Houston, WZGC-FM (92.9 The Game) in Atlanta and nationally for CBS Sports Radio's 98.7 The Fan in Tampa Bay.

"I've carried around a post-it note for 14 years with three sports stations written on it, including 97.1 The Ticket. My long-term goal was to get a full-time job at one of them," said Ryan. "I am so excited to join one of the best media teams in the country as I unlock this long-awaited achievement."

As for what his duties will be in Detroit, Ryan told Barrett Sports Media, “In this role, I’ll host throughout the schedule and do pre- and post-game shows for the Tigers, Lions, Red Wings and Pistons. Jim Costa held this role previously. Needless to say, I have big shoes to fill.” "My new city is on [fire] with sports passion, and I can't wait to get going. My wife’s family is in Detroit [and the] surrounding area, too.”
