Jacobs Media Announces Jacobs D.R.

August 9, 2024

Bingham Farms-based Media research and consulting firm Jacobs Media announced (8/6) the creation of Jacobs D.R. – a package of consulting services that provides a comprehensive program of ground-level services to help broadcasters grow digital revenue. Jacobs D.R. customized services include the creation of a digital sales strategy, budgeting and pricing tactics, targeted sales training, and direct implementation based on each client’s needs.

Jacobs Media’s President Fred Jacobs remarks, “For four decades, our company has been dedicated to providing media clients a suite of services – programming, digital, and sales – to ensure success. Being able to provide stations with a next-level solution in-line with where revenue is going is the next step in our evolution.”

According to BIA Kelsey’s projections for 2025 (as reported in Inside Radio), “Digital platforms, particularly radio digital, are set to drive future growth. While OTA radio might see a slight decline of 1.6%, radio digital is expected to grow 4.2%.”

Paul Jacobs, VP/General Manager of Jacobs Media, comments, “Everyone knows where the revenue puck is moving, and our charge is to enable broadcasters to capture a piece of this growth to ensure their success and sustainability as long-term digital marketing solutions.”

Jacobs D.R. is being led by Director of Digital Revenue and AI Chris Brunt. For the past fifteen years, Chris has been at the nexus of the digital space, serving as Digital Content Director and then Digital Sales Manager for Beasley Detroit. “For all of the years I’ve been involved in the digital space, I’ve never seen the importance of revenue generation as robust as it is today,” says Brunt.

“Stations need new revenue, but any successful program requires a strategy, training, and expertise. You just can’t be successful doing ‘random acts of digital.’ Jacobs D.R. is designed to help stations just starting out or need to re-tool their digital revenue program.”
