Michigan Radio Presents “Navigating a Mental Health Crisis”
This Saturday, June 17, Michigan Radio is partnering with several community organizations to present “Navigating a Mental Health Crisis”. This free event will help provide Detroit residents with the tools and resources to identify and respond to a mental health crisis. The purpose of this event is to help Detroiters become better equipped to handle crisis situations, to inform residents when and when to not call the police, learn who to call in a crisis and what long term supports are available. Partners for this event include Detroit Wayne Integrated Health Network and Wayne State University.

Cumulus Media/Detroit announced this past Monday (6/5) that will be “kicking off the next generation of its programing” for WJR-AM beginning Tuesday, June 20. The new lineup will offer all local voices during primetime hours.
Among the most significant changes, WJR’s longtime morning host Paul W. Smith will move to the newly-created noon – 2 p.m. timeslot as host of “Focus with Paul W. Smith.”

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the storytelling will begin at 7:30 p.m. The theme is “Lost and Found.”
