The annual WLUC-TV (Marquette) TV6 Canathon has been underway since November 1 and that effort will continue through today, December 1. The Canathon is a month long effort to collect donations of canned goods to help feed a hungry neighbor.
Ahead of the December 12 deadline, users of Sage brand EAS equipment now have another 90 days to meet that pending FCC deadline for updating EAS firmware. Sage previously announced in early November that the update has taken them longer to produce than they had anticipated and that there will be insufficient time for many users to install the update by the deadline.

WLEW-AM/FM (Bad Axe) owner Nancy Aymen has passed away at age 93. Nancy and her late husband Art Aymen married in Port Huron in 1948. In 1971, the couple purchased Thumb Broadcasting, Inc. with radio stations WLEW-AM/FM and moved to the Bad Axe area to run the stations.
