Every year at about this time, we worry that radio stations may be tempted to run some big April Fools’ Day stunt.  But, with the country seemingly on edge because of natural and human emergencies in the news almost every day, a prank that may seem funny to some could trigger concerns with others.

CBS/Detroit has announced the hire of longtime Motor City anchor Sandra Ali.  Ali made her debut on the WWJ-TV morning newscast on March 6.  Ali left WDIV-TV in January after working there for 13 years.

WJRT-TV’s Jim Wyatt Passes

WJRT-TV (Flint) has reported the passing on assignment editor Jim Wyatt who died on March 15.  Wyatt was 65.

MSUFCU Donates $50,000 to WKAR Public Media
