MIW Announces 2023 Class of the Mildred Carter Mentoring Program
Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Radio has announced the 2023 class of the Mildred Carter Mentoring Program. Now in its 22nd year, the program pairs aspiring female radio professionals with established leaders in the field. Included in this year’s class is Beasley Media Detroit’s WRIF-FM Program Director Jade Springart.

WLEW-AM/FM (Bad Axe) owner Nancy Aymen has passed away at age 93. Nancy and her late husband Art Aymen married in Port Huron in 1948. In 1971, the couple purchased Thumb Broadcasting, Inc. with radio stations WLEW-AM/FM and moved to the Bad Axe area to run the stations.
