WSAQ’s 2023 Roof Sit Exceeds Fundraising Goal

Liggett Communication’s WSAQ-FM (Port Huron) held their annual Community Roof Sit to benefit the Child Abuse and Neglect (CAN) Council from September 10 through 15.  WSAQ morning show host Matt Markham lived on top of the MiMutual Building in Downtown Port Huron raising funds and awareness for child abuse prevention and advocacy.

Site Safety Assessments

In an effort to help provide protection to broadcasters in Michigan, the MAB and Michigan State Police Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) Desk are partnering to help broadcast stations ensure safety for their staff and facilities by offering Station Site Safety Assessments that will evaluate and make practical recommendations of security operations at broadcast stations.

Alternative Broadcast Inspections

The Alternative Broadcast Inspection Program (ABIP) is a unique partnership between the MAB and the FCC to ensure compliance with federal regulations and to avoid surprise inspections. Stations that pass the inspection receive a three-year Certification of Compliance.
