After 30 Years, Kevin Meerschaert Returns to WEMU

Eastern Michigan University’s WEMU-FM (Ypsilanti) has announced that Kevin Meerschaert has returned to the station after three decades to become the station’s new All Things Considered host. News Director David Fair made the announcement during a five-minute interview with Meerschaert posted on the station’s website.

Site Safety Assessments

In an effort to help provide protection to broadcasters in Michigan, the MAB and Michigan State Police Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) Desk are partnering to help broadcast stations ensure safety for their staff and facilities by offering Station Site Safety Assessments that will evaluate and make practical recommendations of security operations at broadcast stations.

Alternative Broadcast Inspections

The Alternative Broadcast Inspection Program (ABIP) is a unique partnership between the MAB and the FCC to ensure compliance with federal regulations and to avoid surprise inspections. Stations that pass the inspection receive a three-year Certification of Compliance.
