WDIV Documentary to Trace Station’s Fall…and Rise

On Friday, November 4 at 9:00 p.m., Graham Media’s WDIV-TV (Detroit) will debut the documentary “Going 4 It: The Inside Story of the Rise of WDIV.” which will air Friday, November 4th at 9 p.m.
The station was known as WWJ-TV from its 1947 sign-on (under the ownership of the parent company of the Detroit News) until it was sold on 1978 to the Post-Newsweek Corporation.

Final Gubernatorial Debate Airs Throughout Michigan

On October 25, Scripps Media stations in Michigan hosted and aired the final Gubernatorial debate between incumbent Democratic Governor Gretchen Whitmer and Republican challenger Tudor Dixon.  The event was telecast live from Oakland University and was moderated by WXYZ-TV (Detroit) political reporter Chuck Stokes.

Michigan NATAS Inducts Six into 2022 Silver Circle

This past Sunday (10/16), the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, Michigan Chapter, inducted six honorees into the  distinguished Silver Circle.  One of the highest honors given by NATAS Michigan, the Silver Circle recognizes television professionals who have performed distinguished service within the television industry for 25 years or more, a significant part of which was done within the chapter’s region of Michigan.

WILX Partners with Sleep in Heavenly Peace for Make an Impact Campaign

Gray Television’s WILX-TV (Lansing) Made an Impact partnering with in Heavenly Peace on September 10 by helping to build sixty two beds at the Lowes on South Cedar in Lansing. The effort by WILX continued this week (10/17), working with Sylvan Learning Centers to collected donations both at its studio and at two area Sylvan locations.
